ASES

The American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) is an esteemed society comprised of prominent national and international Orthopaedic surgeons specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery. The ASES Annual Meetings provide a platform for professionals in this medical field to convene, exchange ideas, and present scientific research through ongoing medical education initiatives. Membership to this exclusive society, which currently comprises 853 distinguished members, is strictly by invitation only.

ASES typically hosts two gatherings annually: The Open Meeting and the Annual Meeting. The Open Meeting takes place during the AAOS Annual Meeting on Specialty Day and is accessible to both members and non-members. In contrast, the Annual Meeting is exclusively reserved for ASES members. The Society serves as an educational institution, entrusted with developing scientific programs, organizing existing knowledge, standardizing nomenclature, and publishing scientific literature.
